Over Jim's extensive career in the real estate leasing industry throughout Canada he has developed a network of both tenants and landlords. To this end Jim is providing his team of specialists' guidance in the development of further contacts.
In 1981 Jim started Greenwood & Associates, which has evolved into Greenwood Realty Group. The company specialized in consulting, managing and leasing shopping centers, both large and small, throughout B.C. and the northwest USA . Some of the projects worked on are: London Centre, Langley; Sunnyslope Mall, Salem Oregon; Country Club Mall, Nanaimo, B.C., Scott 72, Delta, B.C.; Place Rosemere, Rosemere, Quebec; Les Galleries Rive Nord, Repentigny, Quebec; Harbour Centre, Vancouver, B.C.; Island Home Centre, Victoria, B.C.; Strawberry Hill SC, Surrey, B.C.; Wembly Mall, Parksville, B.C.; Harewood Mall, Nanaimo, B.C.; Riverside Heights, Surrey, B.C. Sunwood Square, Coquitlam, B.C.; Waneta Plaza, Trail, B.C., International Village, Vancouver, B.C. and many more.
In 1991, Greenwood Realty Group decided to represent tenants on an exclusive basis. A partial list of tenants Greenwood Realty Group has represented include; Staples, Cineplex Odeon, Sport Chek, Nevada Bob's Golf, Michael's Arts & Crafts, Sheffield & Sons, Toppy's Hair Salons, Furniture Expressions, T & T Supermarket, Baton Rouge, and numerous other tenants both large and small which are local to the B.C. market.
During his career, Jim has also acted as a leasing and concept consultant on many large projects in both Canada and the northwestern USA .
Greenwood Realty Group is a member in good standing with the Real Estate Council of British Columbia. Jim is a past B.C. provincial director of the ICSC.

Jim Platis’ career started in private industry, for a chain of family owned stores where he handled all facets of site selection, lease negotiation, zoning and construction.
During his tenure, the number of stores increased from 3 to over 40.
He then went to work with one of Canada ’s largest full service brokerage companies specializing in retail leasing
Jim’s knowledge of and reputation in the Western markets is unprecedented.
He has handled all expansion needs for retailers like Sleep Country, Cineplex /Galaxy Cinema, Consumer’s Gas/Enbridge Services, Running Room, Indigo Books, EB Games, ANTHROPOLOGIE, Urban Outfitters, Free People and a host of other users in different categories.
In 2002, Jim joined Greenwood Realty Group as an important part of the company focusing on retail leasing.
Jim has been an integral part of Sleep Country Canada’s roll out in Canada, having leased over 90% of their 200+ (and growing) stores in Canada.
Jim earned his BA in Finance from the University of Western Ontario . He is married with two children.

Doug grew up in Winnipeg where he graduated College with a diploma in Business Administration majoring in Accounting. Soon after graduating, Doug moved to Edmonton and in 2000 made a permanent move to Vancouver.
Working in Commercial Real Estate for over 25 years, Doug has covered all aspects of leasing and Sales for National Tenants and Landlords throughout Western Canada. Some Clients have included Tim Hortons, Wendy’s, EDO Japan, Quiznos, Shoppers Drugmart, Canadian Tire, 20 Vic Management, Primaris REIT, Partners REIT and CT REIT.
In 2009 Doug joined Greenwood Realty Group to focus on Tenant and Landlord Representation specializing in Retail Leasing and sales.
